Located on the North Gulf Coast of Eastern Thailand, miles away from everything else, is Pattaya, which is a great destination for relaxation and partying that will take you away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and the city life.
It’s known for go-go and beer bars, as well as quite an intimidating sex trade behind the scenes and during the late nights. However, there have been many improvements made and Pattaya is becoming much more family and tourist-friendly, starting with the great variety of Pattaya hotels that you have to choose from.
Everything is easy to get to, including the airports, the Pattaya Thailand hotels, and all of the destinations that you could ever want to see. There are a variety of hotels that have turned it into quite the weekend getaway for anyone who visits Thailand.
The area of “Greater Pattaya” takes up most of the coastline of Banglamung, which is one of the 11 districts within the Chonburi Province. There is a northern section known as Naklua Beach and Pattaya Beach and the Buddha Hill headland, and a southern area that covers everything including Jomtien Beach, Dongtan Beach, and more. The beaches in the south are generally much nicer, and the atmosphere is much more laid back and family oriented. There are a great variety of sub-districts within the area, and the breakdown can get very confusing. However, as long as you know that your Pattaya hotels and the entire area can give you a great relaxing break from the busy city, you’ll enjoy your stay.
Pattaya has some great beaches and some great bars. However, this is the place where people come to kick back and relax, so don’t expect to find a bustle of activities and adventures that you can enjoy. Just remember that if you’re planning a family trip to check destinations first, because there are plenty of things that children shouldn’t see in this relaxing destination.
